Online On-Ice Lessons

In light of the immense increase in Covid cases this week – and apparently Austin has the highest positivity rate in the nation over the last seven days – I will opt to hold online on-ice lessons for the next few weeks. For any of you who would like to continue training at the rink, I’m happy to conduct lessons via FaceTime, GoogleMeet, Skype or Zoom. If interested in online lessons, I will send you a fisheye lens for your mobile device, free of charge, so that I can have a wider viewpoint of the ice.

Many of you are taking breaks from the rink, which I completely understand, and why I myself am opting to stay away at this time. I care about your health and want you all to continue to do what is best for you and your families.

If you would like to continue lessons online, please let me know by so that I can get a count for the number of lenses I need to order. I was looking at lenses that are marketed more for iPhones and Apple products (although I believe they should be good with other devices), so if you are using something different, please let me know that as well.

As much as I would rather conduct our lessons in person, I feel it is best to opt on the side of caution right now and I will not be physically at the rink. I know this option won’t work well for everyone, and I’ll reassess again in three weeks. I do not want to impede your training for those who want to continue forward and I hope to provide what I can during this difficult time.

Thank you all again for your continued understanding. Virtual hugs! Stay safe!

Best,

Jessica
